I love getting ready to go out, so much more so than actually going out. This is probably because “getting ready to go out,” in my mind, requires a full on dance party marathon, beauty sesh, and closet inventory. In fact, every time I watch the following movie montages, I am abso-pos the writers were pulling scenes directly from my boudoir:

First of all, I LOVE this song. For your reference, it’s “I Am the Body Beautiful” by good ol’ Salt-N-Pepa. BODY LOVE ANTHEM WHAT UP. Secondly, Patrick Swayze’s dry shave in this scene KILLS ME. Ouch, ouch, OUCH. On a lighter note, can we talk about those SUPER FIERCE lashes them boys are wearing? CHOWWWW!!!!

Can I have this bitch’s closet please? I’ll pass on that final outfit, though. And of course, you know the song. God, I hope you know the song. (If you don’t, it’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by queen bitch Whitney Houston, RIP). BTW, how hard do you think Stila was orgasming when they caught all that product placement?
There are just some songs that I only associate with getting ready. Whenever I listen to No Doubt’s “Hella Good,” I immediately reach for red lipstick – “Gash” by Urban Decay to be exact, because I wore that shade of their now-discontinued Lip Gunk all through high school, and “Hella Good” was the song I listened to most when glamming up back then (Fun Fact: Gash was/is also Gwen Stefani’s preferred shade of red).
SO that being said, every Tuesday from now until I get bored, I’ve decided to force all the hot music babes I know / pretend to know to share their favorite jamz to listen to while glamming out… aka GLAM JAMZ!!!! I’ve got some BAD ASS guests giving up their favorites in the next few weeks, but tomorrow we’ll start off with mine. GET EXCITED – I know I am, because there’s nothing I love more than creeping on other people’s music/shoe/makeup collections.
